HIGH-FREQUENCY ELECTRICAL STIMULATION

High-frequency Electrical Stimulation

What is it?

High-Frequency Treatment has been around since the late 1800’s when it was known as the “Violet Ray”. Before the invention of modern antibiotics, the devise was used medical purposes such as the treatment of strep throat and other infections and to expedite the healing of wounds. Decades later, applications for treatment of numerous diseases of the skin and mucous membranes were employed.

Today, led by the European salon and beauty industry, high frequency electrical stimulation technology is widely used around the world by skin and hair care professionals. Considered a very safe and non-invasive approach to rejuvenation of the upper layers of the skin and scalp, high frequency technology is an integral part of the hair restoration protocols at Agape Hair + Wellness.

How does it work?

Our professional-grade high frequency tool functions by using a glass high frequency electrode to contact the scalp. When applied to the surface scalp, a mild electrical current passes through the neon gas filled glass electrode, causing it to emit a subtle red/orange glow and buzzing noise.

During the high frequency treatment, enriched oxygen molecules are produced that create an anti-bacterial action and a “natural” thermal tissue warming. This reaction helps your blood vessels push away toxins, while the cells in your scalp are enriched with nutrients and hydrating volume. This in turn creates an increase in blood circulation and cell renewal that supports increased levels of collagen and elastin. The scalp is left instantly energized and rejuvenated.
